RUPAM GHOSH (VIOLINIST)
Poised on the horizon at the dawn of the new millennium stand a number of young musicians.
The radiance of their talent and promise sets the skies afire.
Rupam Ghosh is one of them. In North Indian classical violin Rupam Ghosh is a dazzling star.
From the child hood he had tremendous interest in Indian classical music. He started to play violin at his child age(9 years).From the beginning he proved his competency. Rupam started giving his performances in the year 1980 and from then on his chariot of success is going on. His performances have been telecast from many T.V channels. He performed in Calcutta, Delhi, Madras, Mumbai, Benaras, Bhubaneswar, Gwalior, etc.
He has toured in United Kingdom, Bangladesh also for playing pure Indian classical concerts.
His concerts were broadcasted many times from All India Radio New Delhi.
Rupam was also awarded by Calcutta University as a young artist in the year 1981-82.
In many occasions his tonal quality, technique of violin playing and ragdari was appreciated by his Gurujee, the living legend, world-renowned Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad ali Khan and many other senior musicians and obviously by public.
